Student Ministry

Student Pastor

Concord Students

Our vision at Concord Students is to:

  1. Support our parents in their highest calling.
  2. Equip and mobilize our students to think biblically and engage their friends with the Gospel.
  3. Train our volunteers to serve as extensions of our leadership.
  4. Create sticky environments, programs, and events for students and families.

Concord Students serves 7th–12th graders and their families. We exist to train students to be and make disciples of Jesus. We do this through a variety of programs and opportunities, including Midweek, Family Groups, Sunday School, events, student leadership, intentional disciple-making groups, and especially by sending our students on mission—whether in Jefferson City, Missouri, across the United States, or internationally.

STUDENT MINISTRY

Concord Baptist Church’s student ministry is for students in 7th-12th grades and exists to train students to be and make disciples of Jesus.

We believe that our students are not merely the future of the church – they are the church now. Our student ministry, therefore, focuses on not only equipping students for the future of their Christian life, we encourage our students to wholeheartedly follow Jesus today through our Sunday morning equip classes and Wednesday night Midweek program, as well as special events like Super Summer and Disciple Now.

We also believe that God’s Word clearly teaches that believers of every age are to both participate in and serve the whole church, not just one subset or demographic. So we encourage and train our students to serve in and with Concord Baptist Church as a whole, from our smallest children to the most senior saints. Our students are encouraged to participate in church-wide service projects, mission trips, and more whenever the opportunity arises.

Finally, we believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ doesn’t just change our students’ eternal destinies. We believe it changes everything about the way we live here and now. So we focus everything we say and do – whether missions, small groups, or Bible studies – on applying the Gospel to the whole of the Christian life as we pursue Jesus together.

Weekly Programs

Wednesday Evenings || 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Midweek is a great place to connect with the student ministry at Concord for the first time. It’s a time of fellowship, fun games, musical worship, and preaching from the Bible.

Every Wednesday night, we meet in the Student Center (Blue Room).

Student Ministry Meal: 5:30–6:30 pm

Doors Open to Student Center: 6:00 pm

Student Worship Service: 6:30–7:30 pm

Pick-up Window: 7:30–7:45 pm

Sunday School || Sunday Mornings || 9:15–10:30 am

Sunday School is a dedicated time each Sunday morning where we focus on seriously training our students to be and make disciples of Jesus. It's an opportunity to dive deeper into topics that might not be covered during Midweek or Family Groups. Our goal is to equip students with the knowledge and tools they need to grow in their faith and live out their Christian walk.

MIDWEEK

From 6-8pm on Wednesday nights, our Midweek program meets in the Blue Room (church map). Students enjoy fellowship, games, a time of musical worship, and teaching from God’s Word. Midweek is focused on helping our students develop biblical literacy, learn how to apply the Word, and participate in gathered worship. We primarily teach through whole books of the Bible and occasionally focus on topical issues or other special interests when appropriate.
