Sunday Night Small Groups – Starting August 28
We are gearing up for Sunday Night Small Groups here at Concord’s Student Ministry, beginning August 28!
Here’s what that looks like: small groups will meet in host homes across the Jefferson City area. Groups will be built according to grade (middle schoolers together, high schoolers together, etc.) and assigned to host homes and group leaders as appropriate. At host homes, students will get the opportunity to spend time playing games, hanging out, and building relationship with their peers and their adult leaders. There will also be a time for Bible study, utilizing Lifeway’s The Gospel Project curriculum, along with intentional time for discussion, mutual encouragement, and sharing life together.
These small groups will become the engine for local service opportunities among our students. Leaders will make their groups aware of opportunities to serve in our church and in the Jefferson City community, and coordinate with the church office to help connect students to these opportunities. It will also serve as a great vehicle for students to invite unbelieving friends who might be intimidated by the setting of Midweek or of Sunday morning worship, as a kind of ‘middle step’ to getting them into church.
